An eventual vessel criminal had a sinking feeling after he attempted to take a yacht from the Miami Beach Marina. The 80-foot Hatteras, named MIMI, maneuvered into the marina around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
After the commander ventured off the vessel, a man bounced in and attempted to take off.Jimmy Terry, who was dozing in one of the water crafts docked at the marina, heard the hullabaloo and got up to see what was going on. “It was going advances and in reverse and he was going bananas attempting to get out,” said Terry.”You heard the motor rev as far as possible up and he hit it forward front on first,” said Anfornee Rolle. “At that point he switched and pivoted, he went down into it. He hit the docks, he hit individuals’ water crafts.”
